In this body of work I use elements of Christianity, Judaism, Greek mythology and primitive religions to examine the current state of theology, and its impact on mans relationship with his environment. I create a theatrical tableau, infused with gesture and religious symbolism, in an effort to draw the viewer into the composition. Ultimately, the message of my work evolves in the mind of the viewer. I ask simple questions that seldom lead to answers, but only more questions. This work becomes a metaphor for the nature of human spirituality, and our struggle to comprehend our own purpose.
